About Us

The Medical City’s Pulmonary Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center is a specialty center which provides comprehensive and individualized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures necessary in the management of patients with lung disorders. It offers a wide range of services for the treatment and diagnosis of pulmonary conditions, keeping in mind patient safety and providing accurate and reliable results.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program of The Medical City is a comprehensive outpatient program designed to help improve the well being of patients with chronic lung conditions. It is composed of a committed team of pulmonary doctors, rehabilitation doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and dieticians that creates a plan for the patient, depending on the patient’s needs and activities. By doing so, the patient learns to function more comfortably and independently at home.

DIRECTLY OBSERVED THERAPY SHORT COURSE (DOTS) UNIT

The Medical City Tuberculosis (TB) Program offers diagnostic and treatment services for patients with either suspected or confirmed disease. The DOTS strategy is emphasized as the best way by which TB is diagnosed and treated, as endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Health (DOH). The specialists of The Medical City are likewise trained to deliberate on sputum – negative persons suspected to have the disease. This approach lessens the probability for the over-or-under diagnosis of TB.
