Amidst the crisis brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we know not everyone can come to us, so The Medical City launches “TMC Lab on Wheels” which offers laboratory services right in front of your doorstep, bringing you convenience and timely access to precise laboratory testing.

We provide convenient and accessible means of specimen collection for a wide range of laboratory procedures to patients who are not able to come to our Hospital. Our highly-skilled Medical technologists collect these samples that will provide essential information to your physician to decide the next steps, if any, in your treatment plan.

What is TMC’s Lab on Wheels?
TMC’s Laboratory on Wheels provides home- service collection of samples for testing at TMC clinical laboratory.

Who can avail of this service?
- everyone who has diagnostic laboratory procedure requirements may avail of this service
- recovering patients at home (newly discharged patients) for monitoring
- elderly, immune-compromised, and bedridden patients who may be asked to remain at home.

What are TMC Lab on Wheels’ operating hours?

You may book your pick-up schedule with the contact center from 8:00am to 5:00pm depending on the requirements of your procedure, especially if with fasting. Collection time of sample/s is between 7AM to 1PM

What are my payment options?

You may pay in cash or credit card prior to the onsite specimen collection during the home visit. You may also pay online prior to scheduled home visit via online payment link, and bank transfer thru Banco De Oro.

Can I use my HMO or company guarantee for this service?
You will be directed by TMC laboratory representative to contact your HMO Call Center or Company HR to secure Letter of Authorization (LOA) for your laboratory procedure.

How much is this service?
Standard laboratory rates in the out-patient department shall apply. For more information about the specific rates, you may call TMC laboratory hotline. Please take note that there will be a Php1000.00 service charge.

How will my samples be collected?
TMC Lab on Wheels van will be going to your preferred place for pick- up and the Medical Technologist will collect sample based on your request, and following standard policies and guidelines in specimen collection.

How will I get my result?
TMC laboratory representative will ask you of your preferred means to get your result- email or pick-up. Your official receipt will come with your results.

Is the quality the same as an in-person visit?
The quality of home service as a method is confirmed by research. It has been found to be a safe, cost-effective and convenient way to collect routine testing samples.

What should I expect during the home visit?
To protect both our staff and you, your family, basic PPE shall be worn by our staff who will do the specimen collection.
