About Us
The Medical City's Center for Developmental Pediatrics (CDP) is the first in the Philippines to offer routine developmental screening and monitoring of children by a developmental pediatrician in the Philippines from zero to eight years old, providing early intervention and support to ensure every child's optimal development.
Services
The Medical City’s Center for Developmental Pediatrics (CDP) provides comprehensive developmental surveillance and screening services or standardized tests during the following encounters and every year thereafter: 9 months, 18 months, 24 or 30 months and 3-4 year visit.
The Center offers the following services:
- Developmental Screening: This is a vital aspect of pediatric healthcare, allowing early identification of developmental disorders for the benefit of the child and their family.
- Developmental Surveillance: This involves a continuous process where a developmental pediatrician in the Philippines tracks children's development, identifying potential issues, offering referrals, educating families, and monitoring progress.
- Feeding Difficulty Evaluation and Management: This service provides expert guidance on feeding difficulties in children, with the goal of improving their physical, social, and emotional well-being.
- Feeding Monitoring: CDP offers strong support to help children overcome feeding difficulties, involving parents and guardians in the process.
- Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy: These services aim to diagnose and address developmental problems through therapy sessions.
- Nutrition Counseling: CDP provides nutritional advice in coordination with parents and guardians to ensure proper sustenance for children.

Preschool Congress
The Preschool Congress is an annual full-day forum led by the Developmental Pediatrics Consultant Team. This educational event focuses on principles and issues in child development and behavior, with a changing theme each year. The congress aims to raise awareness among parents and teachers about child development, how it can be facilitated, and how to help children reach their full potential. It underscores the collective role of caregivers in promoting proper development in preschool-age children. This event is recommended for parents and teachers involved in the care of young children.
The CDP is staffed by the following health care experts:
- General Pediatricians trained in developmental and feeding screening and conduct the screening of the children.
- Developmental Pediatricians who have years of experience in the diagnosis and management of various developmental and behavioral conditions including autism, language disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other learning-related disorders.
- Pediatric Gastroenterologists and Nutrition Consultants who are experienced in the diagnosis and management of children with various feeding, gastrointestinal and nutritional conditions
