THE MEDICAL CITY OFFERS REGENE
Premier health institution The Medical City introduces REGENE, the country’s most advanced stem cell aesthetic program that repairs and restores cells damaged by aging.
REGENE or Regenerative Personalized Stem Cell Technology for Aesthetics is the latest, safest and proven effective way to repair and restore cells damaged by aging. It is being offered by the Center for Wellness and Aesthethics (CWA) and Institute of Personalized Molecular Medicine (IPMM) of The Medical City.
REGENE is a holistic and personalized aesthetics therapy program using the person’s own stem cells to get a youthful and glowing skin.
“Known as Regenerative Aesthetics, we use your most powerful cells – your own stem cells – engineered and customized at the molecular level to enhance their regenerative capabilities,” said Dr. Samuel D. Bernal, IPMM adviser and consultant.
For this purpose, stem cells are harvested from the bone marrow, the most potent source of stem cells, which are then cultured, engineered and injected directly into the face, hand or neck or where one has aging skin.
Dr. Bernal said REGENE will benefit men and women aged 40 and above. REGENE offers a host of benefits both for wellness and aesthetics. It improves one’s overall health, strengthens the body’s immune system and increases energy level and endurance. On the aesthetic side, REGENE improves three-dimensional correction of facial skin aging, protects the skin against the effects of chronological and photo aging, and replaces volume loss.
Since REGENE is a personalized aesthetic program, it involves undergoing a thorough consultation and customization of diagnostic tests to be undertaken as well as skin assessment. TMC’s team of specialists from CWA and IPMM work with the patient in customizing a program that considers his or her unique history, lifestyle and genetic make-up. Thus, consultations, diagnostic tests and skin assessment are necessary prior to treatment.
The consultations and diagnostic tests are followed by stem cell collection and infusions and intradermal procedures. The bone marrow collection takes about 30 minutes. No pain is felt during the procedure but one can feel the pressure. The experience is similar to having a tooth extraction. Topical anesthesia is applied on the site of extraction.
Infusions will be given once a month for six months. There will be three intradermal injections (or injections into the face, neck and hand) spread throughout the six-month treatment. Patients may see visible results in six months. The need for a booster shot will depend on the outcome of the follow-up check up a month after the last infusion.
