Enhanced Recovery After Surgery^®

Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS^®) is a multidisciplinary protocol aimed at shortening hospital stays, decreasing complications, and speeding up recovery. It involves a team approach covering preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

ERAS^® in the Philippines

The ERAS^® Society-supervised protocol began in Asia at The Medical City (TMC) in Pasig City and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. TMC is the only ERAS^® Center of Excellence in the Philippines and through ERAS^® Philippines, TMC ERAS^® aims to:

Promote the ERAS^® protocol in different hospital settings through several CME activities and training modules
Integrate ERAS^® principles into surgery, anesthesia, and nursing training to establish it as the standard of care for surgical patients
Improve surgical care through data-driven analytics and feedback
