The Pharmacy Department’s role is to provide at all times an adequate supply of safe, effective, and good quality drugs that are consistent with the needs of patients and to optimize their drug therapy in collaboration with the medical staff and other allied health services. Emphasizing the value of rational drug use, the department offers comprehensive clinical pharmacy services that include the monitoring and assessment of medication orders from the nursing units to promote medication safety.
The department consists of pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and clerks who work closely together to ensure that patients receive the highest quality pharmaceutical care possible. These pharmacists serve patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
