Great Saviour International Hospital, managed and operated by The Medical City, will launch the first Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in the Western Visayas Region in June.
The Great Saviour International Hospital in Iloilo City, which is managed and operated by The Medical City, will be launching its cardiovascular program next month with the full operation of the Central Visayas’ first Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the 128-slice CT scanner, the only one of its kind outside of Metro Manila.
To drum up excitement for the program, the GSIH management had a pre-launch activity for the cardiovascular doctors based in Iloilo City. Led by Cristela Villa-real, GSIH chief executive officer, and Dr. Douglas Budok, GSIH Medical Director, guests were given a sneak preview of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and the 128-slice CT scanner. Also present during the event were Dr. Eugene Ramos, The Medical City’s SVP of the Medical Services Group; Dr. Gregorio Martinez, Head of the Section of Adult Cardiology; Interventionalists Dr. Mike Sabas and Dr. Paolo Prado. Representing GSIH were Dr. Leo Malunes, head of the cardiovascular program in GSIH; Dr. Obet Estepar and Dr. Marcy Felizarta.
