FAQs on COVID-19 Teleconsultation Services

The Medical City COVID-19 Teleconsultation provides an alternative care delivery solution to mild and moderate COVID-19 patients. We provide guidance on screening for COVID-19, testing recommendations, and advice on isolation or quarantine. We aim to ensure that patients are attended to, and guided on their health condition and recovery through a physician-supervised tele-remote consultation.


WHAT IS TMC COVID-19 TELECONSULTATION?

The Medical City COVID-19 Teleconsultation provides an alternative care delivery solution to mild and moderate COVID-19 patients. We provide guidance on screening for COVID-19, testing recommendations, and advice on isolation or quarantine. We aim to ensure that patients are attended to, and guided on their health condition and recovery through a physician-supervised tele-remote consultation.


WHO CAN AVAIL OF TMC COVID-19 TELECONSULTATION?

Patients who are covid suspect or confirmed positive for COVID-19 with mild to moderate symptoms which include:

  • Headache
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Loss of smell and/or taste
  • Colds

This service can only cater to patients with non-emergency and non-life-threatening cases. It is not recommended for patients who require examination or diagnostic procedures that can only be performed in-person by the TMC physician.


WHAT TYPES OF CARE CAN I GET?

The TMC Physician’s assessment, advice, recommendation, and prescription are based on all the information or data that you will share during the teleconsultation. They will provide the following, as necessary:

  • One-Time Medical Video consultation
  • Prescriptions for medication
  • Order for laboratory procedures
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Mental health counseling
  • Infection Control Guidance


WHO ARE THE DOCTORS?

All Doctors are TMC Affiliated Specialists.


WHAT DO I NEED?

You need a desktop, laptop or your mobile phone connected to a strong and stable internet connection with at least 10Mbps.


HOW CAN I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

You can book your appointment through these easy steps:

  1. Go to www.themedicalcity.com
  2. Go to Online Services and select TMC Remote Care
  3. Click Teleconsultation, select a doctor based on your preferred schedule.
  4. You will be redirected to log-in page. For existing users, enter your username and passwords; for new users, sign- up to create an account.
  5. Proceed to check-out and payment
  6. You will receive your e-receipt in email together with confirmation of your booking, and e-consult link.


HOW MUCH IS THE TELECONSULTATION AND HOW DO I PAY?

After selecting your doctor based on your preferred schedule, proceed to check-out and payment. You may pay the teleconsultation fee of 1,000 via credit or debit card. This service is not Philhealth and HMO compensable.


HOW DO I START MY SCHEDULED TELECONSULT?

There are two ways on how to start your scheduled teleconsult after confirmation and payment:

A. Through email:

  1. Log on to the email you used for your TMC Online Patient Portal account
  2. Look for “Service Appointment Request” email from The Medical City
  3. Click the telemedicine appointment link in the email you received


B. Through Patient Portal

  1. On the day of your consult, log in to Patient Portal
  2. Go to your appointment list under Outpatient Services
  3. View the details and find the link to the teleconsultation you booked

To complete your overall teleconsult and remote care experience you may have your laboratory procedures and get prescribed medicines via:
